Story behind our Logo
Need for Logo?

Khatri Sabha Mandi has been a renowned organisation since its inception and has been known by its name only. With the changing times, where personal branding matters a lot, people & organisations are recognized by symbolic representations also, Khatri Sabha Mandi could not keep itself away from having a symbolic representation of its brand. Hence, the idea of havings its own logo was born in July'20.

The Path taken

Rather than going out to an agency to design a logo on their own, we asked our members to use their creative skills and design a logo that represents the association they belong to. The excitement between the members was a thing to watch out for, wherein many suggestions came in and some of the young kids from various cities across India sent their designs.

While reviewing the entries received from many members and in parallel brainstorming within, the consensus on the concept was achieved.  Everyone was conviinced, that the logo should represent not just the be a representation of Khatri Samaj, Khatri Sabha Bhawan and associated characteristics like cooperation and unity etc., it should represent the rich heritage of Chhoti Kashi Mandi town and its ever flowing journey over the years.

SHIVNANDI- The Logo & the representation

Chhoti Kashi, Mandi being a Shiva city contains many forms of Shivji at various temples or around river Beas. Shivnandi, the concept & soul behind Khatri Sabha Mandi's logo is made in the 'monolithic' style by cutting from the same stone and is near the Ekadash Rudra mandir on the banks of the river Beas.

  • 3 three lines on the bottom shows the continuous flow of the waves and water of the Beas river and its three conditions, which can be associated with the characteristics of Khatri Sabha association: (1) Cooperation (2) Unity (3) Energy & dedication
  • The Shivalinga and the Tripunda built on it and the Trinetra in the red color in the middle represents the infinite energy pervading the universe.
  • To maintain the spirit of cooperation with everyone in the society, 'Sahyog Sukham' is the basic mantra of the meeting.
